Kathy Purves spent 17 years in the dental field, as a dental assistant, working in different provinces.  She obtained a B.A. from the Univ of Manitoba, and a B.Sc. from the Univ of Winnipeg. Kathy spent 27 years as a District Manager and IPAC specialist with Germiphene, a Canadian company based in Ontario, that specializes in IPAC products for the dental and medical field. Kathy was an independent Sales Contractor and IPAC Speaker with Sinclair Dental. She is presently retired but enjoys spending her time consulting on IPAC to Canadian companies, along with being a member of numerous IPAC Canada committees.  She has used her dental and science background to her advantage, speaking on relevant IPAC information around the world.  She has lectured to dental professionals in Canada. Africa, Southeast Asia, South Pacific and Europe.
